„Raffles City“ in Chongqing, China is a mega-structure. The new world record building includes the tallest "horizontal skyscraper" on earth. Around 300,000 fischer Zycon plate anchors FZP II ensure secure anchoring of the natural stone slabs on all eight skyscrapers that the structure comprises.

Chongqing is the largest city in the world by area with more than 82,000 square kilometers and has over 30 million inhabitants. With "Raffles City Chongqing," the metropolis has gained a new landmark. The project, commissioned by the CapitaLand Group, was completed in 2019 after seven years of construction. "Raffles City Chongqing" includes six 250-meter-high high-rises to the south and two northern 350-meter-high skyscrapers. On a total area of 1.12 million square meters are apartments, offices, a shopping center, a hotel, and other mixed-use facilities.
A special achievement of engineering art is the bridge ‚The Crystal‘ – the highest ‚horizontal skyscraper‘ in the world. The construction measures 300 meters in length, 32.5 meters in width, and 26.5 meters in height. It spans across four 250-meter-high skyscrapers and forms additional supporting bridges to the two neighboring skyscrapers rising 350 meters high. ‚The Crystal‘ houses a gallery, a clubhouse, and much more. At both ends, an observation deck protrudes. With glass under their feet, visitors can enjoy a wide view of the city here. ‚Raffles City Chongqing‘ was designed by the world-renowned Israeli architect Moshe Safdie. He was also responsible for another project where Fischer facade systems were used: Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
