The Beijing sub-center will be located in the Tongzhou district. This covers an area of 155 km2, of which six km2 alone are designated for administration. Access to employment, education, supply, social facilities, and housing is to be ensured. Resource conservation also plays a major role. Overall, a society is to be created that is both entrepreneurial and livable.
The stone curtain walls of the new government buildings were installed with plate anchors. These are earthquake-resistant and can be easily replaced and calibrated. In addition, fischer ACT SytemTec products are approved both domestically and internationally – for example, through the European ETA or the CE mark. An independent testing body in China also conducted tests for earthquake safety, pull-out and shear tests, a chemical analysis, and neutral salt spray tests. As the design took further shape, fischer worked together with the facade technicians to carry out mechanical tests. The products meet every single tender requirement as a result. The anchors allowed the curtain wall to be securely and firmly mounted to the substructure, so the stone remains stable even under wind pressure and earthquake shocks.

The fischer Zykon Plate Anchor FZP II is suitable for higher load and breaking loads than conventional systems as well as for strong dynamic loads. Invisible from the outside, it enables non-expanding mounting in natural stone. FZP II anchors are mounted individually in each panel, after which each panel independently carries its own load. This eliminates the risk of undefined stresses caused by connections. The fischer Zykon Plate Anchor FZP II is made of stainless steel (A4). For undercut fixing of facade panels, the fischer FZA Undercut Anchor was used. The non-expanding installation by form fit allows high load transfer at low depth, small edge and center distances, and flexible use. "Therefore, we have prepared all company divisions to interact seamlessly and smoothly. This way, sales, engineering, logistics, quality control and other necessary departments work fluidly together," summarizes Zhang Yisong, Sales Manager at fischer China.
The professional support provided by the fischer engineering team impressed the project manager: "The fischer application engineers helped us for a month to create the drill holes and fastening implantations on the stone panels. For the correct handling of the plate anchors, they offered training, consultations, and always the appropriate solution." This ensured good quality on the construction site.
