- New Dock for the Vaporetto Boat Stop in Venice
In the heart of Venice, just a few steps from St. Mark's Square, the new ACTV jetty in San Zaccaria Jolanda is being built: a strategic infrastructure designed to accommodate thousands of passengers daily. To ensure safety and durability in such a sensitive and challenging environment, top-quality solutions were chosen: the fischer screws ULTRACUT FBS II and the resin FIS EM Plus. Two high-performance technologies that also guarantee resilient anchoring under extreme conditions and thus contribute to the stability of the Venetian transport system. A project that combines engineering precision with respect for the most iconic city in the world.
The construction was carried out by the company Rossi Renzo Costruzioni srl, www.rossirenzocostruzioni.it – which trusted fischer products and solutions.
The screws used on site, UltraCut FBS II 8-10 SK R, are made of stainless steel and were developed for fast and secure fixings in concrete, even under challenging conditions such as outdoors or in earthquake zones. Thanks to the flat countersunk head and the special thread guidance, they are ideal for flush applications like fastening wooden beams to concrete, ensuring stability, corrosion resistance, and adjustability. The hole does not need to be cleaned, installation is quick and certified to the highest safety standards.
Thanks to the special thread geometry and the self-tapping tip, the UltraCut FBS II 8-10 SKR allows for quick installation without hole cleaning, thereby reducing time and costs on the construction site.
The direct anchoring in concrete ensures high holding power without expansion and allows minimal edge distances as well as reduced spacing between anchors. This is especially advantageous for precise work such as metal plates, brackets, or wooden frames, where it is crucial to avoid stresses in the base material.
The fischer FIS EM Plus resin is an effective solution for secure fastenings in concrete, even with cracks. This two-component resin ensures excellent adhesion and strength, ideal for structural anchors such as wooden or metal beams.
Easy to use thanks to ready-to-use cartridges, it mixes automatically during application and cures quickly, reducing working time. Resistant to chemicals and temperatures, it is also suitable for outdoor or industrial environments.
