With its permissible load of up to 2.4 kN, the low anchoring depth (in some cases only 25 mm), and the small drill diameter (6 mm), the FNA II combines safety with ease of installation and is often used in tunnel construction. The expansion clip gives the nail anchor firm hold as soon as it is inserted into the drill hole, preventing it from falling out during overhead installation. The dowel can then be easily and quickly fixed by impact installation. The massive shaft cross-section ensures high load capacity. Under load, the installed nail anchor independently expands.
Thanks to its high load capacity in concrete, the FAZ II is also ideal for applications in tunnel construction, such as anchoring substructures for fire protection boards. According to the new ETA, the tensile and shear capacities have increased again (sizes M8 - M12), allowing fewer fastening points and lower costs. Its variable anchoring depths (sizes M8 - M16) can also be adjusted to the loads with millimeter precision. When tightening the nut, the cone bolt is pulled into the expansion clip and clamps it firmly against the drill hole wall. At the same time, the loads are transferred to the concrete, achieving the highest load capacity. Both the FNA II and the FAZ II have both the assessment (ETA) and the fire resistance class R 120. Both steel anchors can be installed not only in pre-installation but also in through-installation, which is advantageous for the installation of groups of dowels. Small axial and edge distances additionally facilitate processing.
